Sam Parnis is a Research and Communications Assistant at the GW Alliance for a Sustainable Future, where he supports initiatives that promote sustainability and environmental resilience on campus. He is currently pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Public Health with minors in Business and Sustainability, as well as a Master of Public Health in Environmental Health Science and Policy at The George Washington University.

Passionate about fostering collaboration in the sustainability space, Sam founded GW’s Sustainable Students Coalition in Fall 2024, bringing together student organizations focused on environmental advocacy, climate action, and sustainable development. His academic and professional interests center on the intersection of public health, environmental policy, and urban sustainability, with a particular focus on the mental health benefits of green spaces. In addition to his role at the Alliance, Sam serves as President of GW Students for One Health, where he works to promote interdisciplinary approaches to health and environmental challenges.
